Sustainable coffee

Arabica is a type of coffee grown in Brazil and South American countries. In particular, Brazil is the world's largest Arabica coffee producer. Although it is the leading producer of Robusta coffee, Vietnam is also home to the best Arabica coffee in the world, grown in provinces such as Lam Dong, Son La, and Dien Bien.

Present in Son La land since 1945, after nearly 80 years, Arabica coffee has become the key crop of Son La province. With a large planting area, Son La is the country's 2nd largest Arabica coffee-growing locality, only after Lam Dong province.

The Arabica coffee's quality is highly appreciated because of its natural flavor due to being grown in different conditions. Products processed from Arabica coffee are favored by domestic and foreign markets, with a higher value than Robusta coffee grown mainly in the Central Highlands.

Son La is a mountainous region surrounded by basins and plateaus. Son La Arabica coffee is grown on steep slopes at the foot of low mountains or on shallow hills with altitudes from 900m to 1200m.

With a fruity aroma and a delicate sour taste mixed with a slight bitterness, Son La Arabica coffee has now been protected by geographical indications. It has become one of the key products of the One Commune One Product Of Vietnam (OCOP), bringing high economic value, step by step, affirming a firm position on the world coffee map
